Chandrayaan-3 launch Postponed till 2022
India's third mission to Moon Chandrayaan-3 is expected to be initiated in 2022, ISRO chief K. Sivan has stated.
The COVID-19 lockdown has crashed several schemes of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) along with Chandrayaan-3, which was programmed to be launched in late 2020, and Gaganyaan, the nation's leading manned space mission.
Unlike its ancestor, Chandrayaan-3 won't possess an orbiter.
“We are operating on it. It is the identical configuration as Chandrayaan-2 however it will not hold an orbiter. The orbiter that originated while Chandrayaan-2 will be practiced for Chandrayaan-3. With that, we are managing on a method and often the launch will be the succeeding year in 2022,” Mr. Sivan informed PTI.
